Brigadeiro-The Brazilian Chocolate Truffle

Olá! como você está?, well as you may know those are the portuguese translations for Hello and how are you wich i take from google translator, if the translations were wrong then you know who’s to blame :P. Some of you maybe questioning why do i start this post with portuguese, that’s because in this post i would like to share something about Brazilian food! (since brazilian speak in portuguese so..you know..), and to be more presice i’ll post about Brazillian Chocolate Truffle called Brigadeiro.

Yesterday my super talented chef (my sister) did her magic in our kitchen and  i was there to help her as the preparation assistant (such a cool name but all i actually did was just go here and there, grabbed her this and that). After more less 45 minutes, our Brigaderio was finally done! and it was super yummy :).
The best part of all was because it really easy to made this chocolate truffle  and the ingridients were also easy to found. In this post i will also give you the recepe and steps to make this delicious truffle. So here we go!
Ingredients:
1)      1 can sweetened condensed milk
2)      2 tablespoons cocoa (or more if you like it sweeter)
3)      4 tablespoons of butter
4)      chocolate sprinkles (this one is actually depend on your creativity, you can also use colored spinkles, chopped flaked coconut, baking cocoa, chopped nuts and else)
5)      This is the tips from my sister: if you have some left over cookie, biscuits, or cake you can also use it, just blend them with the mixture of milk, cocoa, and butter ;)
Steps:
1)      In a medium saucepan combine condensed milk and cocoa powder and butter. Stir until completely dissolved.
2)      Put the saucepan on low heat and stir the mixture constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula.
3)      Continue stirring on low heat until you are able to see the bottom of the pot when you tilt the pan, the mixture will get thicker in consistency. This should take 10-12 minutes.
4)      Now pour the mixture onto a lightly greased plate or cookie sheet. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly.
5)      Allow to cool for around 10-20 minutes or until mixture does not move or slide off the plate.
6)      Grease hands with butter and roll mixture into teaspoon sized balls and coat with chocolate sprinkles

Good Luck tryin’ this recepe amigo :)
